Charlie Edinburgh (JE3 Foundation), Terry Long (Camberley Heath Golf Club), Bobby Prendeville (Link Consultants) and Darren Sheen (Echo Sixty One Events Ltd) outside Camberley Heath Golf Club holding one of the three AED.

Echo Sixty One Events are proud to announce, in partnership with Camberley Heath Golf Club, The Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation and Link Consultants, the installation of three new public-access defibrillators at Camberley Heath Golf Club, further strengthening the golf club’s commitment to the safety and wellbeing of its members, guests and visitors.

The three Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) have been strategically positioned across the club to ensure rapid access in the event of a cardiac emergency. One device will be housed outside the clubhouse, a second at the halfway house, and a third in the tunnel connecting the two sides of the golf course, providing vital coverage across the entire site.

The initiative forms part of the ongoing mission of the JE3 Foundation, established in memory of former footballer and manager Justin Edinburgh, to increase awareness of sudden cardiac arrest and improve access to potentially life-saving equipment. Through partnerships with organisations such as Echo Sixty One Events and Link Consultants, the foundation continues to help communities become better prepared to respond when every second counts.

Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest remains one of the UK's leading medical emergencies and survival rates remain alarmingly low, with fewer than one in ten people surviving an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Early CPR and the immediate use of a defibrillator can dramatically improve a person’s chances of survival, as was seen last summer at The Addington Golf Club, when Darren, Charlie and Jamie, along with the team from The Addington, saved the life of John Parkhouse through quick response CPR and almost instant access to an AED.

Golf courses present unique challenges in emergency situations due to their size and the distance between playing areas and medical assistance. By installing defibrillators at key locations around Camberley Heath Golf Club, the partnership aims to reduce response times and provide golfers, staff and visitors with the best possible chance of survival should a cardiac arrest occur.

Naomi Ray-Mathur of Echo Sixty One Events said:

"We are incredibly proud to work alongside Camberley Heath Golf Club, The JE3 Foundation and Link Consultants to place these life saving pieces of equipment. Having accessible defibrillators across the course means that members, guests and staff can feel reassured that critical equipment is available should the unthinkable happen. We hope this encourages more golf clubs and sporting venues to consider their own emergency preparedness."

The installation reflects the shared values of all three organisations: supporting communities, raising awareness and creating safer environments through education and access to life-saving equipment.

Echo Sixty One Events would like to thank Camberley Heath Golf Club, The JE3 Foundation and Link Consultants for their continued commitment to improving cardiac arrest survival rates across the country.

Together, we are helping to ensure that more people have access to the equipment that could make the difference between life and death when every minute matters.
